The NNRME conference 2027:
The NNRME conference 2027 will be held at Karlstad University, Sweden, 16.- to 18. of March. The PhD preconference will be held at Ingesund School of Music, Arvika, 15. of March.
Karlstad is the biggest city in the county of Värmland, a county with a rich culture life and strong folk music tradition. One hour from Karlstad, Arvika is situated, known for its famous Swedish artist collective called Rackstadkolonin established around 1889. To its members, music played a major role in laying the foundation for a deeply rooted cultural life in Arvika, as well as founding Folkliga musikskolan in 1923, which later became Ingesund School of Music, now part of Karlstad University.
Karlstad is easy to travel to from either Oslo or Stockholm by train. The city and university campus offer good facilities for conference activities as well as social gatherings and cultural experiences. The hosting group at Ingesund School of Music wishes everybody a warm welcome to the NNRME conference 2027.
